Well I'm alone here so I suppose I'm talking to myself until (and if) someone appears...
I was browsing through the topics, saw the 'broken heart' section empty and I marvelled. Either the people here have strong impenetrable hearts dressed in steel armours, or they want this heart business out of the pleasure realms and keep themselves to themselves.
Either I witness one of this rare moments of humanity experiencing fulfilment, taxis and order in the emotional/psychic level or pleasure doesn't blend with whining and the long face a broken heart moulds.
And of course nobody breaks nobody's heart...
Ok then I'll light another cigarette...

... but my smoking fet--- helped to end my engagement. My fiancee found some smoking sites on my PC and threw a fit, as someone who had life-saving heart surgery when she was 18 she couldn't understand the attraction to smoking and whenever we used to row she'd bring it up. Mind you she'd bring up *everything* I'd *ever* done as well
Prior to this I'd only ever told one (non-smoking) girlfriend about my fet--- and she was puzzled but accepting. It's not easy for a non-smoker to understand ...
... final coda: my first fiancee (10 years ago) smokes and when I got back in touch with her last year I found out her new husband has the fet--- as well!

You're right! Surfing I discovered that it's not so rare, which makes us either common, banal or normal!
Anyway it's good to talk and being understood. And you know something? I am really suspicious about people who would insist that they don't have secret desires and anything at all that goes beyond the definition of 'proper' or 'acceptable'. I suppose as long as it's not something that harms vulnerable others, I am not judgemental.

`Yeah we all hear those stories about this person dying of this and that and how we should quit this and quit that because of that person. If we quit everything that anyone ever died of we would be dead in our beds from starvation and water..alone because shallow people refused to accept us as we want to be and are!Like the whole damn world has to revolve around everything that they want !
