At what age did you start smoking?

I started with my best friend at 7 yrs old and didn't really inhale until I was about 9 1/2. started smoking full time by the 8th grade and been puffing ever since. I smoke about 2 1/2 ppd now and love smoking. no regrets except I wish I started even younger. I encourage kids to start smoking when ever possible. I don't ever want to stop.

`Like many started around 8 or 9...Mom smoked her B/H and once in a while I took out 1 or 2 and smoked them...Few years doiwn the road when I was able to buy my own,was smoking 2-3 PPD by the time I was 17...Hasn't change much,but stopped here and there,but the craving is overwelming...

I was 11 at first. But I stayed largely in the closet and sneaking them until my parents who also smoke finally accepted it roughly the time I turned 14. Thats when it became full blown habit and I also knew I would probably be doing this a long long time. I smoke about a pack and a half a day now and am very contented with the habit.

17, I just wish I started wayyy younger, like at 6. I love cigarettes, and what they're doing to my body, if I started younger not only would I be smoking more, but the health effects would be more pronounced, which would be amazing. I honestly love the thought of blackening my lungs, flirting with death every puff... Speaking of which, I really need a smoke.

`I tried a kool at 9 and was so disappointed at how terrible it was. At 13 i tried a few newports and thought they were wonderful. At 14 i managed to get a couple packs and wanted to get addicted. So i smoked an additional number of cigs everyday untill, less than a month later i was up to 25 a day. I then leveled back to a pack a day till years later i became a heavy smoker. I've now smoked for 15 years!

I started smoking when I was 13. I got a pack of my sisters marlboro reds and went and smoked with some friends. I smoked almost every day since. She also gave me my first weed:)

I was 9 when i started and would of started earlier if i could, with both folks smoking plus the fact i use to live in a pub i was always around smoking.

So guess i knew at an early age i was always going to smoke so i just thought hey why wait lets get started. stole 1 of my mums went into our garage i lit up, i obvioulsly couched and choked but i stuck with it. A older mate i use to hang with also smoked and his folks allowed him to so i often spent time round his house and his mum n dad alowed me to smoke with them. Cigs were easy for me to get hold of with living in a pub as back then u sold them over the bar rather than out of a machine. so quite often helped my to a pack when no one was around.

my folks caught me though when i was bout 13, they were no to bad tbh and allowed me to continue and have done ever since.

I smoked a few ciggies and the odd bong during my teens.
I met a 22 year old at a club ane went back to his house for a 1 night stand, he smoked both so I had some in the heat of the moment.
Love smoking now, wish I started 20 years ago.
