I started smoking on my 13th birthday. Mom gave me a carton of Max menthols and a lighter and taught me how to smoke for a birthday gift. She loved smoking (still does) and felt I should have the same enjoyment. I have smoked everyday since then. I have never tried to quit and never will. It's part of who I am. I love smoking! I switched to Virginia Slims 120's in the mid '80's when they were introduced. I married a man with a smoking fetish.

I was 9 if I remember correctly, pretty much smoked non stop since then up about two packs a day and I could not be happier. Work love to find a girl that feels the same way about smoking as I do that is my only hold up right now.

`I had my first one at nine too, lot of coughing, but i finished it. At the age of 10 i got 5 a day from my mom, but this had to be increased within a few days up to 10 LOL. At 12 i needed a pack a day.
I m a chainsmoker now, and roll my own (luck Strike) 2 packs a day. that amounts to 80 cigs a day.
Still lots of coughing, but thats just my normal heavy smokerscough.

`I started about the age of 12, but didn't start smoking "properly" until I started at uni at age 18. Never looked back since!

`First drag was at 7, first "regular" smoking started around 10 or 11. On and off ever since. Probably thanks to branding and advertising, I've always associated it with masculinity.

`I started at 17 took my first one from my moms pack when she was at work and she found out about a week later and I became a every day smoker when she said it was ok I love my eve menthol 120s

I tried smoking or experimented however you want to put it off and on my life sense i was 7 or 8 years old but i did not officially start smoking till i was 15 or 16 years old and i have been smoking sense than
