New Smoking Age In The UK

ok most people know about the new smoking age is to be risen to 18, but if you are 16 before the law passes can you still buy them?

If it is anything like in New Zealand, the laws are about age to purchase and not about age of consumption.
There are laws about where one may not smoke like any public place including pubs etc, but the age that someone can smoke is not defined in law.
Drinking laws are similar as well

So if someone under 18 has someone to supply them, then they are fine and nothing the law can do about it.
