i'm a new "senior", once-beatnik-hippy, who digs the heck out of music, photography, modern art, and social justice. when my dog tam unexpectedly died from a genetic disorder earlier than we thought despite vigorous treatment, my vet said: "i had cared for and gone much more the extra mile than any client she ever had." i have a dog chacha now and indeed plenty of (non monetary) care to offer a "human" friend-companion-lover.
