It'd be nice to meet someone to chill out with. I'm a clever, talented woman who does silly things! Like ... staying up too late writing pieces to entertain my writing group (and myself), or creating a drawing / painting / something on the sewing machine, or watching a good film on the telly till very late (cos that's the only time I can find one!), or playing Scrabble with myself (I always win!) or picking the bobbles off my jumper cos I'm bored ... and drinking too much wine in the process and smoking!

Otherwise, I'm relatively normal. I'm a graduate linguist with fluent French and Italian; I love word games and puzzles.

Folky-rock music, shabby-chic interiors, sea-side / swimming / rock pool pottering, cooking a nice meal for friends - these are some of the things I like.

I'd like to meet (and eventually have a long-term relationship with) an equally intelligent, talented man who is good-humoured and fun to be with. It's important that he should be able to spell and punctuate, so please don't reply if you type capital Is in lower case (i) and if you definatly can't spell "definitely"!

I live in Dorset near my two married daughters and four super grandchildren, so if you live in that direction, it would be easy enough to meet.
