I started smoking when I was 11, regularly in 9th grade. Have always smoked primarily Newport 100s box, though I've tried Salem, Marlboro Menthol, Marlboro Lights and Reds and PallMall...never anthing but Newport by the carton though. As of summer 2012, I smoke close to two packs a day. Many failed attempts to quit from when I was 13 until about a year ago, usually when there was a boy I wanted to like me. I've found much better peace since then though, in accepting myself as someone who will likely smoke for the rest of my life and quit worrying about it. If it were easier to stop, I'd probably give it one more shot. But it is what it is- its not easier to stop and so here I am, a dedicated smoker and no longer have any intention of changing this. My cigarettes make me more comfortable than about anything else I can think of.
